COZY is a members-only matchmaking club. You belong to the room whether or not any single introduction works out.
Why we exist
We have never had more ways to talk to each other, and never been lonelier.
Somewhere between the endless feed and the message nobody answered, meeting people stopped being something you did and became something you scrolled. The apps got better at holding your attention and worse at ending in a person.
We wanted the other thing back. A table, a time, and someone sitting across from you. So we built the opposite of an app: a matchmaker who reads you, chooses deliberately, books the room, and is still there the morning after.
What we hold to
Three principles
Nothing happens until you say yes
No introduction is made without you, and no table is booked until you have both agreed. You are never handed to someone.
We would rather say no
A club that lets everyone in is a feed. We turn people away, we open one city at a time, and no growth target will loosen that.
You belong either way
Not every evening becomes something, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Membership is the room itself.

The club
What is COZY?+
A members-only matchmaking club in Miami, for people who are serious about dating and tired of apps. Our job is to get you off your phone and across a table from someone worth the evening. You talk to ARI once, we choose who you meet and we book the spot. No feed, no profile, no swiping.
Dating, friendship, whatever comes next.+
Membership is the room itself and plenty of what comes out of them is friendship. Not every evening becomes something, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise.
Who can apply?+
Members are 21 and over, living in or regularly around South Florida, and single. Beyond that there is no type. Our team reviews every application, and being declined is a normal outcome.
How are members vetted?+
Our team reviews every application. No algorithm decides. There is a written application, an identity check and a human decision, and you watch your own application move, because vetting you cannot see is not vetting. More on the safety page.
ARI
Do I actually talk to ARI?+
Out loud, yes. About ninety seconds of talking, once, and nothing to fill in. ARI is your matchmaker: she stays conversational before an introduction, before the table, and the morning after. Not a chatbot, and never the one who decides you are admitted. That is a person.
Does ARI ever write as me?+
Never. ARI drafts, suggests and edits; nothing is sent without you choosing to send it, and never shares what you tell ARI with another member.
How a week works
How many people will I meet?+
Four introductions arrive on Sunday morning, each with the reason attached. They stay open for twenty-four hours. Saying no to all four is a normal week, and the morning after any date we ask one minute of honesty, which is the only reason the next four are better than the last.
Who picks the venue?+
We do. On a mutual yes we choose the place, book the hour and hold it in your name, whether that is a dinner, a comedy set or a gallery opening. Always a public venue we have a relationship with.
When does it open?+
COZY is in private beta in Miami now, with Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach next. Apply and our team reviews it; if it is a yes, your approval is the invitation to download the app. We open one city at a time, and only once the room is worth walking into.
Can I leave?+
Any time, without explaining yourself. Write to get in touch and it is done that day.
